Know the Load and Know the Sling
When purchasing sling-lifting systems, great care must be utilized to ensure the sling apparatus you select will, perfectly, cater to the specifics of your load and the outside conditions! Temperature, humidity, the presence of corrosive agents, and wind are important considerations. For example, not all sling systems can be, fully, relied upon to ensure stable equilibrium under very windy conditions.
When selecting sling-lifting systems, one must consider:
- the type of load
- the weight of the load
- the lifting frequency
- the type of lifting movement
- the best sling configuration to ensure proper load balance
- flexibility of the sling’s material
- lifting conditions, including environmental aspects
- height restrictions and more
Manufacturing installations, aviation facilities, aerospace/defense entities, and military establishments – including the US Air Force, Airbus, and Boeing – have relied on our hoists and sling-lifting systems since 1964.
