Considerations When Selecting Sling-Lifting Systems

If your Austin facility is involved in any type of overhead-lifting project, it is critical to have a complete understanding of how any given sling will operate within various applications.  For your large, heavy loads, select a lift system that takes into account:

  • the type of load
  • the weight of the load
  • the lifting frequency
  • the number of attachment points
  • the type of hitch
  • geometry of the lift, including sling angles
  • the type of lifting movement
  • the center of gravity
  • weather conditions including wind, humidity, UV concentration, etc
  • height or clearance restrictions

Making an informed decision is vital.  Whether your lift loads require nylon, polyester, wire rope, alloy-chain slings, or a different type, Morgan Aero offers 60 years of expertise and insight!  Manufacturing installations, aviation facilities, aerospace/defense corporations, and military establishments – including the US Air Force, Airbus, and Boeing – have relied on our hoists and sling-lifting systems for every type of load, imaginable, for decades.

Our in-house manufactured Aerosafe worm-drive hoists are often used in conjunction with our sling-lifting systems, and are available in manual as well as pneumaticpowered options.  One thousand of our Aerosafe models are in use around the world.  Our Aerosafe worm-drive hoists are used for the installation and removal of engines and landing gear for a wide range of aircraft for Airbus, Boeing, and almost all major airlines, worldwide.
